"Dream Fresh Beginnings Canvas" Path of Positivity Challenge

Image
Happy Hump Day and thanks for visiting today!
I was so inspired by the theme behind Path of Postivity Challenge yesterday I thought I would do  a canvas, something totally different than I usually do. People sometimes write out quotes that inspire them and pin them to the fridge or wall and I have even seen a post it on a steering wheel once,  but the main goal is so we don't forget what resonated with us from those words and in those words come a new beginning, soul development if you will.  I love the quote on my canvas from T.S. Eliot because I had a friend ask me a question when I was disappointed with a friend of mine, he said " If each time when you meet your friend, you had a  clear mind, would there be any judgments of any sort, rather she is beautiful and brave or careless and a thief , what do you think will happen?   I was confused and said NOTHING! He said no you would be looking with fresh eyes and she would just be. Pass no judgment good or bad, just remember e…

Michael's Art plus Singing Video

Image
Good Day Crafty Peeps!
Today I am dropping in to show you Michael's drawing, a lot of you know Michael but for those of you who don't he is my son , age 13 and he has been drawing since he was able to hold a pencil. Michael was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 3 and has had a major surgery at birth and several since for different reasons. Michael LOVES to draw and he wants you all to see his latest!

It was taken at night so it is a little hard to see

Also today I am sharing a link to my video,  I always knew how to sing but it started to happen more and more since last summer, I did one benefit concert and was ok except that my whole body shook, lol  I get stage fright really bad so I decided to sing a song on video. I posted this video to facebook and so far it has 3.2 K views which blows my mind. I only heard of auto scroll yesterday so you will see me scrolling, lol
Click HERE to see my video
Have a great day and keep shinning!!!!!

Wild orchid Flowers are so beautiful!

Good Day To ALL!!! Today I want to show you a card I made that can be for a lot of occasions or encouragement cards after all there are hearts involved. I had fun with colors doing this card using bright colored flowers and bright papers.

Here is my card

I used Simon Says Ink on the blue leaves and then used gel gloss to make them shine. I took my craft knife and roughed up the edges of the papers and inked the edges with black distress ink. I also rubbed distress ink (Peacock feathers) on my dotted embossing folder which gave a shabby chic look to the paper under the flowers and leaves. I colored that adorable lovable elephant with prima pencils which I got HERE When I need this card some day or sell it I will then add the sentiment that applies to the occasion.
Have a great day and thanks for visiting!!!

Baby it's Cold Outside

Image
Hello! Today I am dropping in to show you a card I did for challenge  # 50 "Baby it's Cold Outside" over at Scribbles Design Challenge, if you would like to participate go HERE
What an appropriate title considering we just got 60 cm of snow, Brrrrrr and it is seriously cold outside.
Here is my card:

I used stitched edges for snow that I bought from "Wish" $4.00 total for 4, I added 3D adhesive to the back to add dimension. I also cut around the kids feet so it fit over the stitched snow and made it look more realistic, the boy's foot is actually stepping of the snow, it is hard to see but in real life it looks really great. The image is from coloring pages and I colored them using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Pens.
Have a fantastic day and make your way over and link up!!!

Birthday Bash Cricut " Bee" Valentines

Image
Hello and thanks for visiting today!
The first time in a long time I got my Cricut  machine out and started playing. This card was an order for a special young girl that had just undergone chemotherapy, she goes to my son's school and is an inspiration, a fighter.

All the hearts were stamped and fussy cut, aren't they sweet all piled up! Love is definitely the message here. I also added a D-Ring with 60 blank hearts so friends at school can sign their name on each heart. I came up with this idea after I took the pictures so they are not seen here.

The bee is from " Birthday Bash" Cricut cartridge and he is my absolute favorite out of them all. The small metallic hearts are confetti I bought at Wallmart.

The background was made using a stencil (ordered from Wish) and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink by Tim Holtz The name Madison was made with "alphabet soup" by The Alley Way Stamps The sentiment " the world needs more people like you "  is from Alte…
